HIRING: Head Chef

Job Type:

Full Time ($55,000-$60,000/yr)

Job Description:

We are looking for a passionate individual to join our team at Late Air, as our Head Chef. Candidates should be team-oriented, willing to lead and assist a small & focused kitchen crew, comfortable working in a high paced environment and maintain a growth mindset. 

Skills & Qualities:

  • Training and Cultivating relationships with staff members and new hires, as well as ongoing staff development

  • Ability to deal with problems or concerns that arise within the BOH and delegate through proper channels

  • Creation of dishes/specials while maintaining seasonality, willingness to collaborate

  • Manage weekly inventory, ordering and budgets

  • Manage BOH scheduling

  • Ensuring cleanliness with clear systems along with overseeing the daily prep list

  • Keeping up to date with local farmers and purveyors

  • Ability to structure group events and work with ownership to create large party menus

Experience:

  • 4 years of culinary experience in professional settings
